Lets make a goal to move for at LEAST 15 minutes every day. Even if you are vacuuming you are burning calories! Whatever you do, just try to really get going so it gets your heart rate up. If you are cleaning your bathroom just set your timer for 15 minutes and really book it until the timer goes off. SCRUB YOUR TUB! That is what I need to do but I DETEST that job. Draw a star or stick a sticker on your calendar for every 15 minutes you do. My goal is to do 30 minutes every day starting today. ...

My son forgot his book report and project that HAD to be turned in today and I didn't have my car. I wasn't feeling good either and my husband got them up to go to school so I could stay in bed. They went back to sleep though and we didn't wake up till 9am! So they were both late to school today. I let Riley walk to school even though I don't like to let him go that far alone. I just had him call me after he got there. AND THEN I STILL had to walk there in the snow (up hill and back LOL) ...

I've been walking every day but Sunday. That's my official day off to let my body recover physically. I went to the doctor's office for my flu shot last week and I weighed in while I was there. My scale at home shows my weight loss but it means a lot to me to have the scale at the doctor's office show the loss. Since my last visit, about a month ago, I've lost 10 pounds! Woohoo! Go me! My clothes are very loose on me so I know I'm making progress. Watching what I eat and drink really makes a ...

I had an interesting week. I listened to the Jonathan Roche show on BTR Wednesday. I'm intrigued with the subject of intervals. So I've changed my workouts using some of Jonathan's suggestions:

Monday: 25 minute interval workout (I'll walk the mile loop I've been walking but do intervals)

Tuesday: No Excuses Work Out (sit ups, push ups, etc.)

Wednesday: 25 minute interval workout

Thursday: NEWO

Friday: 25 minute interval workout

Saturday: long walk (2 miles)

Sunday: ...

Guess it's been a while since I checked in here.

I've been walking at least a few days a week. I've increased my water intake. I have also been choosing healthier foods whenever I can. If I feel like I need to have a 'treat' I still try to make it a health(ier) treat than I used to choose.

I know I've been eating too many carbs though and not enough protein, so I've made some adjustments to that today. I started off with a protein smoothie for breakfast. It is Leanne's recipe and ...

My weight has been fluctuating for weeks now. So today I did the unthinkable: I went for a walk. I walked 1.2 miles this morning. Go Me! I've also been drinking a lot more water. I was only getting 16 ounces or less of water per day but now I usually have that much by mid-morning. I feel a lot better now that I'm drinking more water. I've been on a carb kick the last couple of days so I'm sure that is effecting my weight big time. Today I'm back on track though. I didn't use my Menu ...

I'm sticking with last week's plan in an effort to babystep these actions into routines. Last week was awesome. YEA ME!

Walking: I will get on the treadmill for 10 minutes a day this week. I set the alarm on my computer calendar to remind me daily M-F at 5:00 PM.

Diet: I will eat breakfast this week.

Water: I will replace one Diet Pepsi with a big 'ol 20 oz. glass of water.
